Responsibilities – Caterpillar Off Campus 2024
- Design and development of air intake, exhaust, fuel systems, control panel and circuit breaker panels for diesel and gas generator products
- Perform design calculations and structural analysis and electrical / mechanical components selection
- Use knowledge of various manufacturing processes to deliver the solution that meets DFA & DFM
- Prepare Design FMEA, define validation plan and execute validation activities working with global cross functional teams
- Prepare technical reports and conduct design reviews with the stakeholders
- Resolve technical issues during prototype, pilot and production phases of product development lifecycle
- Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members and other cross functional teams in a concise and accurate manner
- Provide technical support to quality & purchasing during part development
- Work with business unit, SMEs, Project leads, electrical and mechanical engineers for delivering projects on time.
Qualification & Skills Required – Caterpillar Off Campus Hiring 2024
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical / Mechatronics / Automobile Engineering
- Communicate technical information effectively with all stakeholders
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD software, preferably PTC Creo
Desired Qualification: Â
- Experience with design and development of electromechanical components
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teams and with suppliers
