Job Description – Fidelity International AWS DevOps & Security Engineer Jobs 2023
- This position is for an experienced AWS DevOps & Security Engineer to work in the Data Analytics team within the WPFH Technology group.
- The role will be responsible for working with the Platform lead to implement AWS Cloud platforms to support the delivery of a variety of Data Analytics projects.
- As a SecDevOps engineer you will be responsible for using your technical knowledge to deliver world class AWS platforms within the Data Analytics space.
- We are looking for a talented and experienced individual that can serve as a subject matter expert in the AWS DevOps area with a specific focus on Security.
- In addition to your day to day role as a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating elements of AWS technologies through requirements gathering, research and testing to make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality, effectiveness and security.
- The role requires recent, extensive knowledge and experience of delivering large and complex data platforms specifically within an AWS Environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production systems
- Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
- System troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
- Definition and deployment of systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on AWS platform
- Designing, maintenance and management of tools for automation of different operational processes
- Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and cloud security solutions
- Leading AWS security audits and providing recommendations for remediation of any issues
- Evaluation of new technology alternatives and vendor products
- Pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance
- Providing recommendations for architecture and process improvements
- Work creatively in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
- Work collaboratively with 3rd party suppliers, architects, UX designers, product owners and delivery teams

Experience & Skills Required – Fidelity International Careers 2023
- Must have at least AWS Certified Security – Speciality or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification
- Proven experience with building solutions in AWS, both using AWS Console and IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
- Proven hands-on experience with coding in Terraform to deploy and run API Gateway, Kinesis, Python Lambda, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, DynamoDB, Fargate, SageMaker
- Extensive experience with implementing security controls in AWS: IAM, Security Groups, authentication mechanisms, permissions, data encryption
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform and Ansible. Most importantly work experience within a team building re-usable code
- Proven experience with SecOps in AWS using Terraform: segregate security controls code from the rest of the projects; govern, manage and review sec of existing and new components built by the team;
- Experience with leading and educating development team with best security practices
- Linux administration, networking and Docker
- Bash scripting and job automation in Linux environments
- Experience with IaC CI/CD pipelines and Git
- Ability to quickly triage problems, determine root cause and drive resolution
