Job Description – HGS Software Engineer Jobs in Bangalore
Ensure the best use of Enterprise IT Applications / systems, influencing changes to working practices where a need is identified. Help realize the benefits of investment in these systems.
Offering resolution to end users and internal customers on all areas of EIT Applications, on how to troubleshoot and ensuring standards are met. This will include working as part of a team, in order to share knowledge and work together to increase performance standards.
Provide support and advice on Applications and other IT related issues including connectivity, hardware and software.
To deliver a first line support / maintenance services via the Ticketing / Support Desk tool, receiving Issue / Incidents and Service requests from various routes (Including telephone, intranet and email – apart from the Ticketing tools).
Work closely with the EIT Infrastructure and Application Development / Production services teams on user issues, to provide workarounds and solutions.
To ensure effective communication within EIT teams, users, third parties and vendors and to actively conduct quality assurance and customer satisfaction surveys.
Assist users with their EIT Application queries & update the Application knowledgebase / FAQs
Help to implement and improve audit processes and procedures within the team.
Actively troubleshoot to identify, assess, record, resolve and / or escalate incidents and service requests. Ensure they are handled within an agreed time limit, within agreed processes and in a professional and customer sensitive manner and meet SLA’s.
To participate in analysis of first line support call / Data wrt SLA / TAT & services to users.
To support the Application development team by proposing enhancements (based on the tickets analysis)
Work with the EIT Service Manager, to help understand and identify the learning needs of the individuals and groups of staff for the information to be escalated to the EIT Training team to establish their current skill level.
To work closely with the Project teams / Application Development Teams / Release Teams team via the EIT Service Manager, to ensure that as phases of Projects / Release / Go Live, there is relevant support documentation in place to ensure the transition from a project Development / Release phase to Production is effective to the organization’s needs.
To support the EIT Service Manager with strategy developments and service improvement.
To ensure that the EIT Service Desk is supportive of and complimentary to EIT organizational requirements.
To ensure all Service Desk IR & SR are prioritized to agreed standards. Monitoring of completion and reporting timescales and outcomes to business.
Liaise with IT Infra Support team and other EIT teams across COE’s.
