Job Role & ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Keep up to date with the latest security and technology developments
- Responsible for Monitoring, Fine tuning, reviewing & maintenance of cyber security tools and SIEM tool –Splunk/ Azure Sentinel, EDR – Crowdstrike, CASB- Sky high , Security Score Card, Email Security- Abnormal security, Azure Security
- monitor and respond to ‘phishing’ emails and ‘suspicious’ activities identified
- research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
- monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorized, or illegal activity and act as per the standard operating process.
- Monitor, manage and review Security incidents to assess their urgency, and escalate incidents if necessary
- use advanced analytic tools to determine emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
- engage in ‘ethical hacking’, for example, simulating security breaches
- identify potential weaknesses from the monitoring tools
Qualification & Skills RequiredÂ
- Passion for cyber security analyst and a keen interest in IT cyber security domain
- Excellent cyber security skills, including knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware, and security concepts.
- Good knowledge of various security technologies such as SIEM (Splunk), Email Analysis, Malware analysis, network (routers and Switches) and application firewalls (WAF), host intrusion prevention, EDR (next Gen anti-virus) – Crowdstrike and anti-virus
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns, and trends
- Teamworking skills to collaborate with team members
- verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, with an ability to communicate with a range of technical and non technical team members and other relevant individuals
- written communication skills, for example to write technical reports
