Roles & Responsibilities – The Scalers Job Openings
- Maintain and improve the testing suites used in the development life cycle of our backtest engine and analytics framework (GitHub Actions, PyTest).
- Refactoring of the analytics framework to remove technical debt, improve the publicly exposed interface and warnings/ error messages (Python).
- Processes to build our documentations: API, Jupyter notebooks, user guide, etc (Sphinx).
- Internal libraries packaging and third-party library integration (Poetry).
- Keep abreast of developing technologies, championing and incorporating when appropriate.
Experience & Skills Required – The Scalers Junior Software Engineer Jobs 2023
- The Candidate have 1-2 years of experience in Software development.
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Information technology is a mandate.
- A minimum of 1+ years experience in Python or in any other mainstream OOP language. ( C++ preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Linux ecosystem and Bash.
- Strong working knowledge of distributed version control with Git.
- Self-motivated individual that can work under their own initiative with minimal supervision and can deal effectively with external suppliers and providers.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present results to management teams to allow them to interpret the results and make effective decisions.
- Attitude to learn and implement new technologies and proactiveness among peers to get the work done.
- Working experience of software development best practice:Â CI, testing, deployment is desirable.
- Working experience with Docker or other containerization technologies is desirable.
- Good to have experience in finance, fintech start-ups and/or scale-ups.
